Windshield time…as I like to call it. I am a teacher. I was fortunate enough to land a job out of college in a saturated market teaching at my hometown highschool. Teaching in my old school…that is another story for another time. Although it is in my hometown, where both my wife and I grew up, we live about 25 minutes from the school. Thus the morning commute. Many people may hate it, but I love it. Everything is calm in the morning. I am a morning guy. I like to get up early and enjoy what the day may bring. I am typically on the road before rush hour and there is a since of stillness and peace that blankets the town. It is refreshing. I, like you, live a busy life where we are constantly on the go, so when the morning commute comes, I like enjoy it. It is a time for me to slow down, meditate and listen for God. I spend many a morn confessing to God outloud while cruising along hwy37. I spend time counting my blessings, thinking about my life and ministry, praying for my family and friends and even sometimes keroke with the radio. Windshield time. Occassionaly turn the radio off and listen…you might be surprised to what you hear.

I love windshield time. Helps me get my head straight both going to work and coming home from work. God’s always speaking. We’ve just got to listen.
